Diagnostic Radiology

Radiography is a medical imaging technique that uses advanced computers and other equipment to see inside a patient’s body. A Licensed Technologist carries out the exam. The images taken may be on film or they may be viewed on a computer monitor. The results are analyzed by a Radiologist (an M.D.) who will forward the findings to your doctor who will discuss them with you.

Depending on the type of procedure, you may stand or lie down on an x-ray table. It is important to follow directions, such as holding your breath and not moving. Some exams may require several pictures and you may be repositioned for different views.
